Bet365 Lennox Stakes Betting Preview

With much of the south east having seen some significant rainfall over the weekend, the going at Goodwood for Tuesday is currently Good ground which should see all seven declared runners go to post at around 3pm.

A very open race with at least six of these horses having valid claims and below we have put together our shortlist of contenders who we think have the best chances of being involved in the prize money.

No.6 Chachamaidee, trained by Sir Henry Cecil and ridden by Tom Queally is the current favourite to win this race at a best price of around 7/4 currently available from the online bookmakers.

This five year old daughter of Footstepsinthesand was narrowly beaten last time out in the Windsor Forest Stakes at Ascot last month when finding John Godsen’s Joviality too good, but now back over 7 furlong’s where she has won three times connections are obviously quietly confident about her chances.

No.3 Libranno, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Richard Hughes is currently trading at around 9/2 with the online bookmakers to win this race and having won his last two starts which included victory in the Criterion Stakes comes into this race in excellent form.

This 4 year old son of Librettist will have no problems with the ground or trip and having finished only two and half lengths behind Strong Suit in this race last year and now 2lb better off in the ratings, he surely has a very good chance of landing his hat-trick by winning this race.

Edinburgh Knight was runner up to Libranno in the Criterion Stakes last month, but has gone up 4lb in the official ratings. Foxtrot Romeo will have plenty of support, but is having his first attempt over the distance in this one and may find one or two of these too good.

Majestic Myles was an impressive winner last time out in the City Plate but will find this race a lot more difficult, especially having gone up 3lb in the ratings.
