Watford v Liverpool Match Preview

Watford have had an excellent start on their return to the premiership as they currently occupy 7th spot and they are already past the half-way mark on their way to the magical 40 points.

Watford’s defence has been very strong so far this season and they currently hold the league’s 6th best defensive record and at the other end of the pitch, they have Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney to thank with 15 goals between the pair.

Liverpool haven’t had the best start to their campaign as they currently lie in 9th position but most expected their 4-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad to be a turning point especially because it was followed up by three more victories in all competitions. Unfortunately it hasn’t been the case as they lost unexpectedly to Newcastle a fortnight ago and have since gone on to draw their following two matches against FC Sion and West Brom.

Watford Latest Team News:

Watford will still be without Gilmartin, Ekstrand and Hoban as they remain sidelined and are yet to register a minute in the premiership between them. But we could see the return of both Sebastian Prodl and Valon Behrami in this match.

Liverpool Latest Team News:

Liverpool have had more than their fair share of injuries and they will be without Lovren, Gomez, Milner, Ings and Sturridge for this match. Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that Mamadou Sakho will be fit enough to return in this match with Dejan Lovren missing.

Using head to head statistics alone it would suggest that Liverpool will win this match in comfortable fashion.

The Draw does look a possibility in this match and I would be tempted to have a bet on it possibly as a cover with best available odds of 13/5 with Bet365 – £200 Matched Bonus Bets for New Customers.

Liverpool are currently the favourites to win this match which is probably about right given all the statistics above. The best price is 1/1 with Coral – Deposit £5 & Receive £20 Free Bets for New Customers.

Watford v Liverpool Free Sports Bets, Tips & Predictions

I think that this will be a close match but I expect Watford to come out of the match with at least a point because they have been very strong in recent weeks whilst Liverpool have been struggling. I expect Watford’s pair or Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo to pose a lot of problems for Liverpool because they have done so to many teams and Mamadou Sakho will be returning to the starting eleven after missing several weeks.

And as for my saver I have decided to go for Watford’s top scorer Odion Ighalo to get a goal in this match as he looked very dangerous against Sunderland last week but you could arguably go with Troy Deeney who would give you better odds and if Watford earn themselves a penalty, he will be the man to take it.
